House Hunting 101

May 3rd, 2009

So we’ve been looking now for a total of 6 weeks and I’m already pulling my hair out!

Here’s a house we saw that we put an offer on.

Day Three

January 7th, 2009

So it’s day three without smoking for me.

They say that the first three days are the hardest. I certainly hope so. I was going to get the patch and work that into the program but never got around to going to CVS and picking it up. Now I feel like it’s too late and I’ve gotten this far without it so…

I decided to start running every morning as well. Only about 2.5 miles, but wow After not running for over ten years, your body lets you know pretty gosh darn quick what kind of shape it’s in.  Geronimo’s really enjoying the runs. His health issues I think had a lot to do with the fact that he doesn’t get as much exercise as he used to. So I keep telling myself that I’m doin’ it for him!

Getting up at 6am isn’t as easy as it used to be. I think the fact that it’s dark out doesn’t help much.

I gotta schedule a rehearsal for the band.

Cheese delivery

December 17th, 2008

So ever since we moved into our house, every day when the mail comes, there’s invariably a piece of mail for someone who either used to live here or for some reason still gets their mail sent here (maybe they’re in some secret goverment agency, i dunno).

Today, a gift package came from Steiner Cheese Co. baring the name of one of those aforementioned adressees.

The question I ask myself is….

Do I open the cheese box and get fat or try to locate the sender and tell them of their errored addressing?

Christmas time is here again

December 15th, 2008

Of course this is the time I decide to take Geronimo to the vet and see what the heck is going on with this cough he’s had for the last 8 months.

I seem to have opened Pandora’s box here. So far, $250, but the decision is whether to spend $750 more to find out what’s wrong and how much more it’ll cost, or spend $380 on some antibiotics that may not even work.

This is tough, but he’s my boy and I gotta do what’s best for him.

Mission:Impossible

December 2nd, 2008

So I’m fumbling through the world wide web and in the midst of my usual trail, I decide to do a bit of searching for friends on the ole Facebook jammy.

I tell ya. That is the most efficient means to track down old characters from the past. Now it’s like a mission:impossible challenge. You pinpoint an era of your life and try to figure out a way to reconnect with someone from that era. Sometimes it’s easy-peezy, but other times it can be downright impossible.

The internet wasn’t always around ya know!
